[Feature Request]: pad-layout as in Push

It took me while to get used to the '4ths' layout of the pads in scale mode, but now I'm loving it and it's kind of a bummer that this is not available on Move (yet).

So please add the same options we are used to on the Push:

• 4ths – When moving up to the next pad vertically, each pad is a fourth higher.

• 3rds – When moving up to the next pad vertically, each pad is a third higher.

• Sequential – When moving to the right, each pad is in order based on the selected scale.

Plus the 'fixed' option to make sure, that pads always start with 'C', no matter what scale is set.

It’s how I play with push and it has completely transformed how I visualize musical form and I am frankly lost without it on Move and have found it mostly unplayable as a result. I have taken to using a Launchpad x to control move. It works fine but kind of defeats the purpose. Frankly, I was really bummed when I discovered it lacked this feature. That feature along with scale mode seem like pretty basic functionality. As much as I love a lot about Move, this is a big disappointment.

As an aside, I’ll put my pitch in for full Note integration and audio clip support.

I love you Ableton and everything you do and hope you will fix this heartbreaking flaw in an otherwise pretty amazing device.

Im exactly the same, lve been really enjoying Move but having to use a second controller is really limiting my use. I hope this is updated soon. With the amount of pads being halved maybe they could introduce one pad chord scales too, and/or progressions like my MPC. Great for generating ideas and making you play outside your familiar styles.

Adding another voice to the pile asking for 3rds
4ths and scales. The Push’s pad modes are such a transformative way of playing pad based instruments that I unfortunately don’t think I can justify purchasing Move until it’s added. Hopefully soon! My setup needs the move!

I would love the octave up and down buttons to move by 4th’s too. maybe they could use the shift button to achieve this. also let the root of the scale be the first note at the bottom left pad of the move

Hello all,

So glad to see 4ths in the latest Move update but disappointed it is not available in Control Live mode. Please add this as well as 3rds to both. I often use the hardware devices for expressive playing and adding these modes would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Guys,

I would love to see the vertical interval be configurable. Like with the Hapax or Deluge. I prefer a minor 3rd, it's what's in my fingers. But totally understand that everybody has their own preferences. I've never used the Push but think it is also configurable?
