Midi in

Does anyone know if you can control Move’s tracks using midi from an external source?

I want to send midi from Digitone ii to Move to have FM synthesis and sampled drums together, but all sequenced from the electron box. Is this possible?

Yes, we can.

I have my Arturia KeyLab MK3 connected via Moves' USB-A connection to the USB-C in of the KeyLab.
You have to set up Move to 'Midi in only'.

Current disadvantage is (as far as I could figure out) is that Move always listens on all Midi channels.
That means that when I simultaneously connect my MiniFreak to the KeyLab (with a Din Midi cable), I either have to mute the current track on Move or disable Midi to avoid both instruments playing at the same time.
MiniFreak listens on channel 2 only, which can be easily set on the KeyLab.

I found a good solution that lets me control two devices (MiniFreak & Move) from one keyboard controller (KeyLab MK3) with a small additional invest:
The 'CME U2MIDI Pro – Professionelle USB-MIDI-Schnittstelle' https://amzn.eu/d/fXChM9v allows me filter out channel 2 (where MiniFreak is listening to), so I can simply choose wether I want to control MiniFreak or Move by changing the Midi Channel on the KeyLab.

KeyLab Midi Out goes to MiniFreak Midi In with a DIN Mide cable, MiniFreak Thru goes to the grey Din Plug of the CME Adapter which goes to the USB-A of Move.

You can filter out any channel with the UxMidi Tools that come with the adapter.
