LFO Rate in effect rack

Post by e0068 » Wed Nov 13, 2024 12:03 pm

Hello everyone

I want to see LFO's synced rate in divisions, not in 0-127 values when I map it in effect rack. How can I do it?

You can't, you're mapping effectively to an ENUM value which is a list of available values as text strings, this is not supported by macros in racks.

If you're using MaxforLive then the Live Mapper LE on our website first polls the mapped parameter for it's values and then gives them as the displayed values on the dial, it can also have these display on the Push Encoders if your happy to open the device and then save it after the mapping has been done.

Cheers

Do I understand correctly: macros in racks do not support some type of data (ENUM), which LFO is outputting?

If so, is it possible to transform data somehow in LFO max4live device so it will be displayed as divisions in rack macros? Rack macros display LFO time properly when I'm mapping Meld, for example.

Thanks for suggestion with Live Mapper LE, but it seems bulkier than Ableton's native racks, and I want to keep things in device view as compact as possible.
