Audio File - Warp Loop Issue

Post by R. » Fri Nov 15, 2024 7:23 pm

Hey Folks,
Im having a problem when rendering and reimporting audio loops.
I export a looped file and then drag it into my Live set. I have 'Auto Warp Long Samples' set to on. When I open the file the Scene start has been shifted to the first transient and as such the Scene is out of time.
If I turn this option off then the scene length is back to being correct again.
Can anyone tell me whats going on here?

What state is "Create analysis files" in the Files and Folders section of preferences? There is also a Create Analysis File in the section for the Export dialog.

The analysis files should contain that information, but it seems they are not being created or if they are, not before export but on the way in. It seems, when you drag the file in with Auto Warp turned off some warping is attempted.

Also, to explain a bit, the timing is correct with auto-warp off, presumably only because the tempo of the project and actual musical content of the file match. However, if a sample/loop is warped without pre-existing or defined timing, it gets it wrong, like you are hearing, I think.

Try exporting with the creation of the .asd file would be one recommendation.

Resonance envelops.

Some songs:
"Everybody Look At Your Hands, Control Pain By Using Them To Help."
"The Strangest Loop, Reflex Ahimsa"

It worked today on a new file - So I think you must be right regarding something wrong with the tempo/timing
