Crackling sound issue

hi
in the late months i've been experiencing an issue with ableton.
Every time i playback a sound, wheter been created inside ableton or recorded, i hear a lot of crackling and the sound goes in spurts.
I tried listening with different headphones, thinking it was the problem, but nothing changed.
Any idea?
