Downgrade to Ableton 12.1.5

Is it possible to download the installer of Ableton 12.1.5?

I just upgraded to 12.1.10 but instead of introducing less crashes, it introduced more crashes in my (complex) live-setup.

In the archive you can only download a 12.0.25 version, but not just one previous version, in this case 12.1.5.

Cheers, Reyn.

Windows:

macOS:

Replace suite with lite, intro, or standard if you need to download one of these editions.

Had one super hard crash as well, 5 minutes into making a new track but after that it was running smooth for about 2 hours or so without any further crashes. Not sure if it´s crashing more constant for you.

Ah so sorry Mr. Adl..

I noticed that already a few times changing presets on Gatekeeper of Polyverse made Ableton crash hardcore. And it's crashing kinda random. And even one then I wasn't playing. Going back to 12.1.5 for the moment. The only crash lately with 12.1.5 is that Ableton crashes when I close the session. Even when I load a simple session before closing Ableton, it hangs..

It'd be great if you could report your crashes to Support.

3 fatal crashes within 20m

really not impressed and very quickly losing my patience with Live

I can consistently make it crash by pressing the STOP button

I'm usually more cautious, but this time I updated blindly to 12.1.10 (my next gig is in 1 month, so I've got time to manage eventual problems).
No issue on my system so far (Macbook Pro M1, Sonoma 14.7.4).

EDIT : unfortunately, see below my following post...

Please give you specs when giving your impression on an update : it can be useful for other users...

mmm. I didn't have any crash while testing Live with some mixing sessions, but I did run a "live concert" session this afternoon, and it was a crashing party.

It seems this new Live version doesn't like the M4L device "Midi Hub". It's a device I use on a lot of Live sets to control vsti with my keyboard.
Each time it crashed, it was because I did tweak a knob or a fader linked to "Midi Hub"...
I will send my crash logs to the support, but before that I will downgrade to 12.1.5...

Also many crashes here today as well.

Two of the crashes threw this alert:
"No /GUI found for class InstrumentGroupDevice within corners."

I submitted CR's (and a screen shot of the above alert as well).

Wow -- Is it possible to downgrade? ...I thought that sets saved under subsequent versions no longer open in the previous ones...

As long as the first two numbers in the version number (so in this case 12.1) are the same, everything is compatible.

Thanks, Rivanni! I was unaware of this important detail.

After three more crashes this morning I have "downgraded" for now.

Will report on stability presently, but for now -- thanks again to you all for your collective wisdom!

But first, before downgrading ensure that you have Live's auto-update feature set to "Ask" or "Never," or you'll be right back into 12.1.10
