Hello,
Just wanted to know if Ableton is intending on releasing standalone only features to Push 3? At the moment it does really make sense on getting standalone as you can just hide a laptop or use a long usb from a computer out the room.

Re: Push 3 Standalone only features coming?
I'm not sure what you're asking for? You think Push 3 should have unique features that Ableton on a laptop and Push in controller mode doesn't have?
I just want it to have most of the features of Live with a mouse. The latest public beta has time signatures and Follow Actions, so we're halfway there. The one feature it could get that IMO wouldn't be that hard and could differentiate it from other controllers and audio interfaces is a way to sample audio directly into the Sampler.

No I don’t think either way. If I will be able to do everything standalone can do by just plugging in my laptop I will just get the controller version.

No laptop is one less thing to take to a gig. I've been gigging with mine recently and I'm glad I didn't have to take a laptop as well.
Have you imagined any particular features?
My guess would be no they don't plan to. I think Push and Move will always be a subset of Live.

Re: Push 3 Standalone only features coming?
To be honest as long as I can use a long USB cable and get most of the features that way I’m happy. I will more than likely upgrade at some point but I’ve not used Push 2 in a few years so I just want to get back into it. People say it’s too big to have on a lap etc but I don’t see any problem, I used Push 2 with my laptop connected but having MPE and the interface (I know it’s not quite as good as my Apollo Twin) is what made me want it over Push 2.

My Push 3 controller just arrived! Impressed with the new (I think) encoders and jog wheel. Not played with MPE yet but will be doing. Built in MIDI interface is super handy for headphones etc.
Just wanted to know if you can power/use it with just USB-C like the Push 2?
Also, does the Midi Fighter Twister work as an external Midi controller in standalone?
Cheers
