Hello all,
I have a 2m USB cable form Apple (white one) whats powers and allows me to use the audio interface perfectly fine without the power brick. Just wondering what brand 5m cable to go for? Some people have suggested Lindy? The one I bought from £27.99 one I bought from Amazon does not work: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DCBLFGJY? ... title&th=1 Just makes the logo on the Push screen flash on/off.
Cheers
Long USB C cable brands for Push 3?
Re: Long USB C cable brands for Push 3?
The Push 3 is actually a USB 2.0 device although it uses a USB-C connector.
Most inexpensive long USB C to C cables are primarily for charging. Some pass no data at all and some will pass data at USB 2.0 rates (480 Mbps), which is exactly what you want. I haven’t seen any name brand cables longer than 10 ft/3.3m except for much higher speed connections. Cable Matters has a 5 meter C to C cable but it’s spec’ed for USB4 and costs almost $100
Every 5M C to C USB 2 cable I’ve seen on Amazon is an off-brand like the one you bought. You can get 5M bus powered USB extension cables, but they are male type A to female type A requiring adapters/dongles to work with USB C on both ends.

Re: Long USB C cable brands for Push 3?
Hi Doghouse,
Thanks for all the information!
I ended up settling with a 3 meter Anker one which works ok without power. I could do with a little extra but at least I can sit on the sofa in my office with it.
I think they are all off brand as to use the USB branding if has to fall within the specs and as anything over 3m isn’t to spec (to long) then it’s technically not a USB standard. I think that makes sense?
Anyhow, when standalone is on sale I will upgrade, it’s not massively important at the moment. I don’t find it too big to have on my lap at all which is ace but I doubt I would use it travelling on a plane/train etc!
Thanks again.
