Hey,
I have Live 11. Whenever I load into a blank project file and make an audio channel, I have absolutely no latency when tracking an instrument like my guitar. However as soon as I load a project file, even a small one with let's say only 1 midi track and 1 blank audio channel, now I get very bad latency with the audio channel if I try to record through it. This latency only occurs when loading an already existing project file. There is never any CPU overuse. This is maddening. Does anyone know why this might be happening? There are no differences to any of my settings between a blank project file and loading a new one.

Check every single channel including return channels and main to see if the devices in those channels are any different from the blank set.

There are no differences at all. Even if I open several new audio channels on the already saved project file, they will all have latency.

Make sure you're using Direct Monitoring when recording:
