I am trying to record a violin with a condenser mic. My audio works fine on another device in Photobooth. On my device Photobooth audio is crackling, dropping out and distorted - the same thing in Ableton. I tried recording into Garageband and it was fine. My buffer rate is ok, sample matches the project 44100hz. Why is this happening, I think it might be an audio engine issue?
