Hello,
if I type say:
spectral I get to see all my plugins that have the word spectral in them, except the ones from Melda..
I have to type MSpectral to see them for example, same with the word limiter
I have to type MLimiter etc…
Is it because the M is attached to the word in their titling of their plugins?
Makes little sense really, search should be smart enough to query those strings of letters even if attached to other letters…
Thanks

Re: Melda plugins not appearing in Browser search
Live only finds items where the words in the file name start with the search text. So typing 'rift' won't show 'Drift' in the results. I wish it did.
Spaces, underscores, and capital letters are considered word separators, except when there is only one capital letter, as is the case with the Melda plugins. Live treats the name 'MLimiter' as 'Mlimiter', and since 'limiter' is not the beginning of a word, it will not appear in the search results.
However, you don't have to spell out the full plugin name. Typing the first two characters displays the plugin in the results. One or two extra characters to narrow it down.

Re: Melda plugins not appearing in Browser search
They need to make it that two caps following each other also are understood.. at they are when there are lowercase in between as in pureLimit or LaxLimit4 or even as you mention show Drift when you type rift. In the age of AI Google even corrects misspelling
PS: Many apps on my Mac that help with searching can do that like HoudahSpot etc.
I use HoudahSpot to help as a Browser of sorts to find my PluginAlliance presets since Ableton does not play well with them.

Re: Melda plugins not appearing in Browser search
They should allow the use of partial words. This would address your and many other search issues. All file and search applications that I use on Windows and macOS are capable of this. Searching Live's database using SQL is quite easy.
