CV instrument with oscillator modules with VCA opened by a trigger ( AKEMIE'S TAIKO )

Hi,

I love CV instrument, use it for a long time with lots of modules ( Verbos Harmonic Oscillator, Verbos Foundation Oscialltor, etc.. ), and it worked great.

Now I need to use it with AKEMIE's Taiko (https://busycircuits.com/alm015/), this is a "oscillator" module that opens the VCA when you send him a trigger. So, in the process of using the "calibrate" option on CV instrument, it's not possible to open it and make him continually emit sound so the calibrate process can proceed.

I tried calibrating/tuning it by hand, by for some reason I can only make it track properly 2 octaves ( instead the 5 octaves that this module supports on pitch tracking as detailed on their manual ), I guess that the cv instrument calibrate process helps on making sure a specific module tracks well across all octaves possible re-adjusting when needed and for some reason this is not working properly because didn't calibrate the module following the cv instrument calibrate process.
  • My question is : how i can calibrate / tune the module in this situation?
  • My suggestion/request to the ableton team would be: Can you improve the CV instrument plugin, so in some cases i can select that "calibrate" process is emitting ALSO the CV GATE when triggering the different notes during the calibration process?
Any help is super welcome,

Thanks,
