Audio wav to midi?
Audio wav to midi?
I have dozens of improvisations that I would like to get into Ableton and orchestrate is there any software or addin that will do a wav to MIDI transcription? (often solo piano, piano and voice (and text) , sometimes drum box, sequencers and melodic improve over it)

What do you call "improvisations" ? Solo monophonic or poly real instrument ? virtual instruments ? use FX ? those questions are relevant to know if any software tool can do it. Did you try "convert to melody" or converty to harmony" in Live ?

If 'convert melody' or 'convert harmony' aren't accurate enough, Melodyne does it. Check which versions have the ability you need. Assistant does monophonic conversions; Editor will do polyphonic things like piano & guitar (that's what i have)

From my tests Melodyne was not much better than Live for converting to MIDI, it was a bit better with some material but a bit worse with some other, definitely demo it before spending any money.
BTW, just remembered, with Cakewalk Sonar (now Bandlab Cakewallk) it was possible to use Melodyne audio-to-MIDI (monophonic) for free, so maybe downloading the last free Cakewalk with Melodyne demo still works.
