In Live 12 Suite I have issues with changing buffer size, and few questions regarding that.
My computer (PC/ win10) is connected via USB to RME Babyface 1 gen. (master) which is connected via ADAT to RME Fireface 400 (slave) and from there outputs go to monitors.
In Live's Audio Settings - Buffer size is non editable (set to 1024 samples), I don't understand why it's not possible to edit there, and what can I do to make it editable from Live's Settings/Audio?
I assume I need to change it in my Fireface USB settings, so I click on Hardware setup button in Live settings and I'am able to change Buffer Size there to 512 samples, but only after I restart Ableton it shows up as (512 buffer size). But when I click Test Tone it's not usual plain test sound, but buzzing broken low sound. Also when lowered to 512 samples my project's music sounds also broken, low buzzing sound like Test Tone. So even if I manage to change buffer size it doesn't work somehow. Why is that happening?
Is it because of ADAT connection between Babyface master and Fireface 400 slave interfaces?
What can I do to make it all work and easily change buffer size?
Thank you for any suggestions and hints.
