MPK banks Midi Mapping

I have Bank A 1-8 mapped for arm and sliders. I want to use say 9-17 for bank B. Doesn't seem to be working. Trying two mix to tracks together in more of a live situation. The Midi map indicator seems to be moving around. Using an MPK 249 Again Bank A works. Pressing Bank B and trying to map the arm button works but not the slider.

Now the arum and fader work but the arm only works if I hold the button down. Really odd
