Quantize midi track following audio track: possible? How?

Post by fabiospark » Sat Jul 12, 2025 2:04 pm

I made a click track and over that I recorded an audio guitar arpeggio whoose timing is not as precise as the click track, and I like it.

Now I added a drums track and I'd like to sync the drums notes to the timing of the guitar track automatically: is that possible?
If yes, how?

For now I did this:
1 Selected the audio track content (guitar fingerpicked arpeggio) I want to use as a reference for the midi track;
2 Apply the command "Convert drums to midi into another track";
3 A midi track complete of a drum rack has been created but it has a lot of notes where I don't want them so I
manually cleaned the midi clips;
4 I adjusted a few mistimed or redundant notes.
5 I copied the notes from the automatically created drum track and pasted them into my drums track.

I searched online but I couldn't find anything useful.
Thank you.

Try this: (Place warp markers where suited) in your guitar recording > extract groove > apply groove to your drums midi clip.
