Trying to line up your PC keyboard keys with the active pads (yellow dots) in a drum kit can be a pain in Ableton. My students have trouble sometimes trying to line up the active pads with the keyboard keys. Especially when you use a custom drum kit. Sometimes the active pads don't line up nicely with the keyboard keys that control them. Is there a quick way to do this without using z and x to change octaves and mess around with it until it all lines up?

Anyway to Quickly Line up Active Pads with Keyboard keys?

You can easily "remap"the input midi notes using the Scale midi device. Once done just save this as a preset, and switching between computer keys and eg a drum pads controller is just about de/activating this Scale instance.
Not sure if Scale is part of Live Intro, though.
Otherwise using a midi effects rack's chains (where you can range the midi input range per chain) alongside the Pitch midi device could achieve a similar result, but it'll be way more complicated.
