metronome issues

Post by Delchem » Wed Mar 25, 2026 2:58 am

Easy question - I can record an audio track with metronome, but when I play the recording back,; the metronome has been recorded alongside the desired audio. I need the clean audio track alone. I cannot locate any settings to change this. Please assist.

Are you, by any chance, using speakers or studio monitors when recording thru a microphone? You should use headphones instead, and not too loud because you are recording the sound from your speakers into the microphone along with whatever is desired to be recorded thru that microphone.

Sorry for such a dumb reply but that is the most obvious first thing that came to my mind.

Or does the audio interface support a loopback feature that routes all audio from the computer back into the audio interface and Live? There is also software that can do this.

Probably not this, but worth mentioning I guess:

There is Enable Only While Recording setting for the metronome in the Metronome Settings menu that you can access via the pull-down switch (little triangle pointing down) next to the metronome, or by opening the context menu for the metronome itself.
