I can't get sound on one of my sets

Post by LOFA » Sat Aug 13, 2005 5:55 pm

I see the bars go up and down. I get a crackle in my speaker everytime a cpu intensive scene is selected. I've checked every ouput/monitor paramet/midi-audio (core) set up possible. This is the only set I have this problem with.

Has anyone else ever had a similiar problem, or a solution?

I narrowed down where the corruption was. I t was hard because the set is huge (I will now proceed to edit down form 3GB to a cd hand-able size, but here is screen shot.

It was on the only empty track (several effects, but no midi- I must have deleted this my first go at editing a week ago) in my set. At first I thought it was my king dubby delay, be cecause once I turned off all of these effects I got all of my sound back from the remaining channels. Then, however, I realized this 3rd party application was not at visually, or appaerently at fault. It was the Live reverb that not only couldn't produce a sound, but was terminating sound on every out/channel.

You can see in this screenshot (perhaps if you resize it) that several instruments are making sound but nothing is coming out of the master. In fact, I am even holding down notes in operator on this specific corrupted track, and they are going all of the way through the kingdubby, but not the reverb.

I would like to delete this file, but I will hold on to it for a couple days in case you are interested inthe cause of this problem.

Emabarrassing.

It happened without the reverb now!

Perhaps it is the King Dubby?

This is the only 3rd party effect I am using on this set...I think...

Whoops, no there are supatriggas on two audio tracks, but the problem seeems isolated to the king dubby channel.

Apparently, king dubby is king buggy in Tiger with Live. See here:
