the clip will not start at the start flag

Some times, no matter what I do, the clip will not start at the start flag. Am I missing something? I find if I mess around for a while, and come back to the clip, half the time it goes back to where it is supposed to belong.

Am I alone on this? Is there a solution?

yeah i get some funny problems like this ... not sure what it is - I find moving the clip to the arrangement and adjusting it there usually works

also, make sure the clip length is right - having the clip a bit shorter or longer than it should be seems to throw the start point off.

I get this as well, very frustrating. Happens sometimes when you're clicking in the lower half of the waveform display to start playback at a new point in teh file too. Sometimes it just refuses to start anywhere near where you click, regardess of your quantize settings.

Very, very annoying
