Live 5 Freeze Track problem

Post by AndyT » Mon Aug 22, 2005 12:24 pm

I have noticed two problems with 'Freezing' tracks.

1. When I turn off my PC, the Freeze tracks seem to get deleted, such that when I next power up, it tells me that it can't find the Freeze tracks! My way of getting round this, other than to re-Freeze the tracks, is to copy the Freeze tracks to a sepertate directory before I power down.

2. When freezing a track, I have noticed that sometimes glitches are created in the Freeze track. The only way round this is to un-Freeze the tracks and re-Freeze it.

Has anyone else noticed either of these problems?

Andy

Is no-one else having this problem? It happens almost all the time and is very annoying!

I find as long as when I freeze the tracks and don't "save set self contained" afterward, it is ok. As soon as I save a self contained set, the frozen files are gone. I even saved a self contained set to an external drive and it ruined the one on the internal drive.

looking at the 5.0.2 beta bugfix history (on top of this forum area) this appears to be fixed ... could someone confirm this? i'm not installing the beta just yet myself.
