No time for sample trawling... will never get anything done!

I'm got a working sample collection, and I'm sticking with it. Otherwise, this goes on on and on forever and turns into self-indulgent sample masturbation for the sake of nothing but time wasting.

If it's your hobby and you've got nothing better to do with your life, go for it.

Not really. There are a lot of links here, but that dosent mean that you have to search through everything to hoping to find that sound that you want. This is more for those who are trying to build a sample collection. And when you aren't busy building your songs, this could give you someting to do. But to each their own.

Another great source is your local $1 record store

buy the funkiest looking sleeve - old school black men and women with Afros from the 70's and early 80's dressed god aweful

New Wave brits from the early 80's

Make sure you've never heard of the band before and buy it - I'm serious too
You come away with some funky shit - stretch it, chop it and use it

The art of diggin' in the crates is a timeless art - may I suggest it!

absolutely right - there's an infinite amount of stuff on LP that has never and will never find it's way to CD release..... although i have to say we are currently living in the golden age of LP reissues, it's great to buy a brand new record for $12 that would ordinarily have taken years to find or you'd have paid 10 times + to buy from a collector
