The BCR2000, Reason, and Live 5

Ok. You know how Reason always takes control of the BCR when you are using it? How can you disable this?

Like here is an example when I might not want reason to be controling it. Let's say I wanna mess with the crossfader in live and reason is controling the BCR, how in the hell am I supposed to cross fade when reason is controlling it?

I have presets for everything in reason and presets for everything in live on the bcr..Can't I just select presets when I want to control those things, rather than always have Reason controling everything?

in reason's preferences in the midi section remove the tick from the bcr that is beside your midi device, that simple

I already knew that, but I wanted to be able to use the BCR with both. Like use my bcr for the subtractor and malstrom and use it for lives audio levels; but rather then having reason take the bcr over and change presets everytime a reason device is selected, I want to be able to select the bcr presets by hand. Get what I mean?

Um...I'm trying to do the same....got it to do what I wanted last night.

I have set up each bcr preset to operate on a different midi channel. So when I want to control reason I flip to preset three which is operating on channel 6 (or whatever) nothin in my Live set is set to receive on channel 6 so no problems...then its back to preset one or 2 to control Live....

This limits the total number of presets I can use on my BCR but I can barely keep track of 16 of em much less 32.

Also in Reason's advanced midi I had to choose the bcr as "remote"

Does anyone know how in the f*ck to control reason and live via the bcr? Why is it that reason takes the bcr over? Is there anyway to keep reason from taking over the preset selection, but still use the bcr with reason to control synths lik the subtractor erc? I have the BCR in reason set to midi in and midi out set to port 1 and in live the bcr is selected for everything on port 1...

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO SOLVE THIS lil' MYSTERY!?!?

i have reason 2.5 slaved to Live4. i am just setting up my BCR2000. i am able to choose presets and reason does not take over the behringer. how is yours connected, usb?midi? using the power adapter?

Connected via USB so port 1 is input and output...I have reason 3.0.4 slaved to live 5

essentially reason takes over the bcr according to what device i have selected in reason. If i have the malstrom selected, the preset for the malstrom is selected on the bcr, and when i try to change it manually, i can't. If i turn off the bcr in reason i can change the presets manually, but that makes it soo much more difficult to get things done using the bcr. That means everytime i want to play with the bcr in reason i have to click the tick and then when i need to solo a track or add effects via the bcr thru live, I can't until i untick the bcr in reason. There has be to be a way...

I have my bcr presets on different channels (ie for impulse it's on channel 3 i think, for live it's on channel 8 and for Reason isn't on channel 7)
