vintage gear shops in NYC

Two Lines Music: www.twolinesmusic.com
this place ROCKS... large selection of analog synths and drum machines, all set up and ready to demo - the guy helping me out there was very knowledgeable and psyched to show me all the different synths (as you may well know, this personality type is rare in the NY retail world)

East Village Music Store: www.evmnyc.com
quite a variety of synths, drum machines, mics, organs, etc. they keep it all meticulously cataloged on their website. it's best to know what you're looking for before going there, though. when i was there, they weren't well set up for demo-ing - there were several pieces of gear i was unable to hear,or had to talk the guy into setting up

Rogue Music: www.roguemusic.com
heard great things about it, never been there
..... . . . . . . . . .

Also Dr. Sound in the villiage has some old toys from time to time.I think on lower Broadway.
Another idee is to buy the "Buy Lines" newspaper and see what people have top sell and go call them and pick up.

downstairs from rogues, outside (facing the building) on the right is a repair shop full of amazing stuff(usually), alot for sale.
30th street gutars is across the street as well, lots of stomp boxes and interesting stuff like that, but a bit expensive, but worth a peek if you're into that stuff.
