MBox / Ableton 2 / OSX / ASIO ? Help please?!

hello, if you have a brief moment...

a quick question...
(this is on behalf of a friend with the software, who has no internet connection currently and just called me at work to see if i would ask for him...)

1. computer: 500 Mhz g4 titanium macintosh with 512 RAM.
2. software: Ableton 2
3. audio interface: Digidesign MBox
4. operating system: Mac OS 10.2.3

are you aware of anyway to set up the Core Audio settings to make this darn MBox show up in Ableton?

so far, works fine in OSX while using ProTools 6...but if that application is closed and Ableton is opened...it doesn't see the MBox.

does OSX even use ASIO drivers?
if so, which one is needed for Ableton to see the MBox?
where does it need to be placed?

os x does not use asio drivers

I dont think there are drivers for the M Box on OSX yet either. Should check with Digidesign
