I've always had this issues since version 4 (now on 5), but adding & deleting tracks takes ages, about 6/7 seconds for a MIDI track. MIDI shouldn't take up much processing at all, so it does make me wonder
My comupter is fast enough, Athlon 64 2800, 1GB RAM
