Reverb on Return Explodes with white noise???

Post by Machinesworking » Thu Oct 06, 2005 6:43 am

OK so I've tried three different reverb AU's and VST's....

The Reverb on the Return Track in Live 5.01 is feeding back into white noise, no matter which reverb I use. Processor is at around 48%

Didn't see any bug fixes that would fix this in the beta, but I guess I'll try that out?

sounds like your feeding back the return channel into itself. make sure the return channel's send knobs are at zero.
other than that, i hav no clue

I have no clue either? It' only on this one song? Other songs have a reverb in Return track A?
I've scanned the presets and nothing else goes into the red, just the Return Track with the reverb on it..... It's like the song is corrupt, just not all the way???

ive had white noise like that before, try taking out the reverb and saving then open song again and drop it in again. might work. i forget what i did.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

Wow this one's a real show-stopper, got me half way through a set through a few thousand watt system. Even my ears were ringing a few seconds after I pulled the plugs... real nice.
This is proper bad, I can handle a glitch here or there but this is a PA destroyer.

Only on one track for me too but it's never happened before and now (perhaps after a version update) it's everytime I load the song.

I did notice something strange though, the Reflect setting in the verb had somehow wound up to +6db and im sure wasn't me. Setting it back to 0 and resaving seems to have fixed it.
