Clip Scrub Control Automation Messed up

(or is it me?)

when I assign a midi controller (e.g. bcr2000) to the little box between the two nudge controls, and then play a clip and use the controller, it doesn't seem to work right.

in absolute mode, the behavior is totally unpredictable. in relative modes, decrementing seems to work (i.e. turning the knob to the left nudges the orange dot backwards), but increasing the controller has no visible or audible effect.

also, even when i get it to nudge back, it does it in unpredictable amounts (i'm using it with quantize off to tweak timing.)

PLEASE HELP!

I didn't love the feel of the control in 5.0.1, but at least it was usable. this isn't usable at all...

so is no one using scrub automation? or is it that no one else is having problems...

help? please ...?

I must be tired because I read this as;

strip club Control Automation Messed up

and that real sparked my curiosity.

But alas I am still working 4 so no can't help/
