yes i am one of those sad little dj guys that ask's stupid questions that u producer genius's have to keep answering but i must point out first that i have used the search function on the site to try and find out a solution. i have live 5 (first month using this software so i'm new to it) plus recent online up dates. i use a g4 imac with 1gb of ram. i'm getting on well with everything and have produced some nice compositions but i'm uncertain of a problem i'm having when i create short (1-2 Bar) loops. They seem to make a funny noise as they loop and the cpu use gauge goes up maybe 10 or 20%. if i record a live set and save it as a sound file when i play it back the little click noise it makes have gone but this wouldn't sound particularly good if i used it in a live situation. any ideas how i can stop this? is it because i am looping an mp3 file?
cheers to though's that help.

cheers for the advice sqook the idea for the fade is a good one for other situations, i use some cut up loops in logic and sometimes have the same problem but the loops i have created are actual loops in sections of clips in live ie i have a full track in live and just a section of it looped. then the problem occurs i think it maybe that the file is mp3 as others in the forum are experiencing problems with mp3 files causing massive cpu usage see the link below, thanx again sqook.
