MIDI FROM ALL INS not working straight away...

this has been happening for a while , but it seemed un-important compared to other stuff i was trying to figure out , has anyone else noticed this:

when I arm a midi track , and press some keys on my midi keyboard the track isnt receiving the notes....i have to choose the interface in 'MIDI FROM' before it works , then i have to change it back to 'ALL INS' again (because i want to receive midi from all the ins...and i dont want to do it any other way).....this didnt happen before the last update as far as i recall , and it definatly didnt happen in live 4 , and its one more event that draws your hand to the laptop .... when it should be somewhere else
