Good Hardcore Ragga Jungle Nights?

Post by PrOgReSS » Thu Oct 20, 2005 5:31 am

I'm just wondering if anybody can recommend any good ragga jungle/hardcore drum and bass nights here in Chicago? I didn't want to post this here but felt I could get an honest opinion from the people that frequent this board. I've only lived here in this great city a short time and I've come across a lot of things but nothing that is really fitting the bill for HARD! If you know what I mean.

Chopstick Dubplate

Post by montrealbreaks » Thu Oct 20, 2005 2:47 pm

Do some google searching for a pair of dudes named "Chopstick Dubplate", or "Jackie Murda" (or "Jacky Murdah", I don't know how it's spelled).

anyways, I know Chopstick's living in Montreal nowadays, but he seems to have his finger on the pulse of Ragga Jungle across North America. He also goes by the name "R-Cola". He might be able to point you in the right direction if you can track him down.

His stuff is fricking sparse, fast, aggressive, sharp on the top end but at the same time the bass is dubby n' subby.

I have changed my username; Now posting as:
