yes, I found an issue with CPU spiking:
I have a track where the last part is just one channel playing. after the fade of this track and the volume is 100% down (-inf), I see the cpu spiking from 20% to 85% and it should not. nothing is causing sound. no effects, nothing is playing. cpu usage should be at 0!
and when this track is fading it uses 20% cpu power, using the Beat timestretch algo and no effects. this is way too high. I have fast Centrino and it has a lot of juice when using Reason 3 or Nuendo 2.2 for example. Live seems to use a little too much CPU power.
it seem 5.02 has some cpu issues. it uses a lot of cpu power in general and causes spikes. version 5.01 was worse though; more spikes (when I put channels in solo for example the cpu was building up).
