Not the Abes - I scroll like a rolling stone - if it's "normal" scrolling you mean.

Good luck anyway!

i dont know what you mean ... we could scroll up / down the session grid and up / down the arrange grid to focus on scenes and tracks that were not visible.

now we cant. we have to move the mouse over to the slider on the right hand side and manually slide the bar.

just tested this in the browser window. broken there too.

huh...I can scroll with the mouse scroll wheel. Been doing it for years w/Live on small screen powerbooks. Can also scroll with my trackpad by dragging w/2 fingers. You on a PC or Mac?

Just checked here and it works as usual.
Ctrl+mousewheel scrolls lateraly
Seems your mousewheel has a problem, perhaps check you settings.

Really, can you sroll when dragging on the side or bottom of you trackpad?
I´ve this functionality on my synaptics touchpad too, but in Live it doesn´t work.
I requested this a few times already but never got some feedback from the abes.
I definately want this feature if it´s possible.

Greetings

Yes, I'm using a Mac and I can scroll both up/down and left/right all around my session view and zip around all over the place. I don't know what you mean by side or bottom of the trackpad. I don't have any reason to drag at the edge of the trackpad. Dragging along the edges of the trackpad, touching the casing at the same time doesn't work when dragging anything in any application...not even moving the pointer on the desktop. I don't know why you'd want to drag your finger there. :?

Ups, so I meant a touchpad, isn´t that the same as a trackpad?

On my touchpad you can configure regions on the right and bottom area wich you can use for scrolling when dragging one finger up or down or sidewards as your scrollbar was in the touchpad .
That works for most windows programs exept for the netscape browser and Live as I know.
It would be great if Live would support that.

Sorry, but I don't know the difference between a touchpad and a trackpad. Maybe you can describe your special laptop w/touchpad? Could this be a windows issue?

The trackpad (mouse subsitute "pad" you slide your finger over to move the pointer) works like a dream over here.

Maybe you are talking about those rollerbar scroll thingies that are in front of the trackpad on some of the PC laptops? I only have a trackpad with a simple click button in front of it. To scroll instead of move the pointer on a Mac you just drag on the very same trackpad with 2 fingers instead of one.

Ok, we are talking about the same thing then, a trachpad!
Mine has 2 buttons and a scrollwheel, wich works in Live.
You can configure resizeable regions on the trachpad via the config software, . If you touch the pad at the very right or bottom you can move the scrollbar when draging in the appropriate areas, but not in Live.

It would be cool if I could use this in Live too, but I don´t know why there is a limitation of this function.

Isn't it because the session window needs to be "active"? So you may need to click on a slot or clip to work it in session for instance?

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, btw...
