Tempo automation

Post by Pluffo » Sat Oct 22, 2005 11:02 am

Hi!

I have two problems:

1. When I automate the tempo ( using the mastertrack and changing the tempo curve ) the change isn´t effective. The song just keeps on going in 88 bmp, my original tempo.

2. How do I make an exact tempo change? I want my song to go from 88 to 118 but even with the cmd-button pressed I have a hard time getting exactly 118. Instead I get values like 118.36....Isn´t there an easy way around this problem...Like a tempolist editor?

Hey pluffo,

1. You need to click on the "back to arrangement" button on top of Live's transport for your tempo changes to take effect.

It's the red button

2. In the session view name one scene "118 bpm" and another "88 bpm".
That will change the tempo "on the fly".

Cheers

Nonono....as soon as I do this...everything in the arrangement turns red and all my mididata is overwritten....No, this doesn´t add up att all.

I just want to type in precise automation changes...Please tell me it´s posible though I haven´t found anything about it in the manual. This is such a simple thing...it shouldn´t be a problem.
