Was looking for some monitors

Saw some Tannoy Active Reveals (green) going cheap

Are they any good?

Is there any other ones worth checking out for around £200

Cheers if you can help

I don't have much experience, they're the only ones I've ever had, but I love them. Definately worth £200, I'd say (if new).

I listened to a few around the £300-400 mark in turnkey- sampson resolve (next choice), alesis M1, Yamaha somethings, genelec whatevers, etc, I can't really remember. I thought they had the best all round sound, others might have had either better bass or a slightly tighter top end. Best looking ones as well. Turquoise, mmmm.

They've just brought out some new models with digital inputs etc (they look pretty sweet). Which is probably why they're so cheap. Mine were £360, when I got them (i think they were once about 500).

Still best to go and try them out somewhere next to some other models if you can?
