Soundcard recommendations...

I've been using an echo indigo dj for the last 6 months which has been ok, however it's developed a nastle crackle on the headphone output, so it's going back. However, i'm somewhat regretting my choice as i really need a line input as well as 2 stereo outs, so i'm in the market for a new soundcard. Asio4all with the built in line input just doesn't cut it
Any recommendations? I'm using a laptop so it's going to have to be firewire or USB.
I've been thinking about the m-audio audiophile firewire - but there's been quite a lot of slating in the forums. However, it's a bonus that you can run pro tools m powered with this interface. Is it worth the potential pain?
Any other suggestions? It needs to be reliable - i'm gigging at least once a week with it and the echo has never given me any hassle apart from this crackle.
