Follow action from empty audio clip - How?

I am missing something about follow actions when using a scene starting with midi tracks and an audio track but where the first scene contains no audio. The following scene does have an audio clip. However, I do not see how to set up follow action which includes the blank audio clip. I can program follow actions for the midi tracks but the empty audio has no menu to set up follow actions.

copy your first audio clip

put it at your first midi sequence to follow level in the deck

drop the volume of your audioclip to zero

set your follow action

trig the both clip together

dance

you | follow me | ?

Right of course. Thanks. Makes perfect sense- I knew thata there was a simple solution but I couldn't think of it.
