reducing sample rate

hey everyone...

this is my first post and i was wondering if anyone can help me...

i'm using live 1.5 in osx... i've got a slow machine ... g3 400mhz laptop with 256 ram...

i'm trying to reduce the latency and dont mind the sample rate dropping but the '44100' drop menu in the preferences pannel doesnt seem to be active... i want to change it but i cant!!!!

has anyone else experienced this problem? any help would be much appreciated...

hi

it sounds like your soundcard will only operate at 44.1 (some are like that)

(my Audigy drivers only work at 48, so i don't get the option to change them. same sort of thing)
