problems to record a dj live set

Post by 7stars » Mon Nov 14, 2005 2:35 am

when i try to record a dj mix on 2 audio channels in session view and for a
channel i choose a loop before sending up the volume automation to mix... when i stop the loop to continue the song normally...then at the end of the recording i see in the arrangement view empty pieces between the tracks on the two audio channels!! and if a try to increase to the right this pieces of empty tracks i find the loop always continues! even if in the original record i didn't hold the loop..it's an error that i don't understand..please help me with the exact method to record a dj mix...thank you

I'm not really sure what you are saying... Do you have a midi controller? Why are you using automation for a DJ mix?

When I want to record a DJ mix, I just hit record and start playing the set, mixing etc, without stopping the recording... At the very end, you stop, and render to disk and end up with one large wav file, which I then set track markers and burn using Cool Edit Pro.

Hope this helps, but if it doesn't try to explain your problem again...
