Hello.
I've just recently bought a brand spanking new laptop to run Live 5.0.2 on as my old laptop just couldn't keep up...
However, running the same Echo Indigo DJ card on the new laptop seems to be causing all sorts of problems with the card's ASIO driver enabled. It won't play from more than one (virtual) stereo input at once (at under 2048 buffer samples) without the sound becoming seriously crackled and slowing the tempo of the set down! Argh! However, running the same card thru the DX, non-ASIO virtual outputs seems fine!
I also bought an M-Audio 410FW with the laptop, and that seems to run like...everything I ever wanted. At once. So it's just a problem with the Echo card...the drivers are bang up to date, d/loaded them today. Disabled laptop built in s/card & everything's at the same sample rate (44.1k) so it's not that...
The laptop is 2.0Ghz Pentium M, 2gig ram, lots of hdd space, etc etc so it's up to the job...and then some...if this is any help the PCMCIA slot is a Texas Instruments PCI1620 - I know Echo cards don't particularly like some cardbusses...it's also XP Home SP2, could this be the problem??
Any help at all would be much appreciated! I need to use the DJ card for live stuff - 2 weeks and counting...argh....
Echo Indigo DJ & Live 5.0.2 ASIO problem
I know this may sound odd..but I actually started having problems when I updated the driver for my echo dj card..I reverted to the one on the disc and it solved the problem..my laptop is totally different ihowever its an old emachine...however now Im finding that my laptop is struggling with 5.0.2 compared to live 3 ho hum
