Authorization Question

Post by AlKaMyST » Sat Nov 19, 2005 4:24 am

A frustrated Steiney user here with a question..

As I understand Ableton will allow 2 authorization codes per user. I am one of those nuts who constantly likes to upgrade and switch hardware constantly. (Live would be only installed on one computer).

Is Ableton flexible in these situations, (giving out additional unlock codes, or will it be a constant struggle). I don't want to purchase a product which will restrict my choices of hardware.

From what I have read Ableton seems to be flexible in this regard but a concrete answer would be nice.

Thanks guys!

there are no official ableton moderators here so any answer we give is probably speculation. for a good answer to your question I would email them directly. although I do know that the manual says you can have 2 authorizations but ONLY USE 1 at a time. which is kinda confusing(you can have 2 but only use 1? hehe) just email them it's the only way to find out the true details I think.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

Orders of magnitude better than other companies (such as NI) who not only
don't allow a 2nd laptop install but also won't even allow you to sell your
license to someone else.

with NI you get two installs, always.

as far as ableton they have been very flexible and helpful to me in situations relating to this.

cheers
my favorites at the moment: MASSIVE. FM8. LIVE 6. Bome's Pro. KORE.
