Wir wollen Browser Tastatur-Zuweisungen

Post by drmotte » Thu Dec 01, 2005 3:16 pm

wir wollen browser tastatur-zuweisungen

deutsch:
also zb:
  • browser ein/ausschalten
    browser für livegeräte ein/ausschalten
    browser für plug-ins ein/ausschalten
    datei browser 1/2/3 ein/ausschalten
:P
english:
i really could need some browser key-commands in live5 wich i request since live2! it coming annything new, but to open amd close quick the file browser to more space is impossilble. to set up your own key-commandos is impossible even by midi!
ableton, please give us keycommands for the file browser!
like:
  • switch browser on/off
    plug-in browser on/off
    file-browser1 on/off
    file-browser2 on/off
    file-browser3 on/off
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
what do you think?

I'm in. I was woundering that its possible to switch the infowindow by key, but one of the majorfunctions is not assignable.

Btw. it would be nice to use EVERY key for key-assignments. On my setup, only printable keys work for assignment. Cursorkeys or PagUp/PgDwn wont work.

@Synchro: Your script is well done, but it would be nice if Ableton will include this (small) function in Live. So we don't need another app witch aims the danger to make the system more instable.

I'm quite shure that there will be dozend of free tools for mac, too.

But currently i'm a bit out of date regarding the mac so i don't know one (on my macs, i always used QuicKeys. It's stable like a rock)

There is also iKey. Seems to be powerfull like QuicKeys and much cheaper - there seems to be an older version iKey called "Youpi Key" arround, that is for free.
