Randomizer

Post by lola » Tue Dec 13, 2005 8:06 pm

i already posted this in:
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30784

But ill try it here also

i would like to see a randomizer for just the placing of the notes, not the pitch.
So u play a chord in and some stacato notes, and with that randomizer plug that will not effect the pitch just the places.

Or is there already a plug for this?

Agreed. Since there's already a pitch randomizer, I vote for a separate plug that randomizes timing. It should be flexible enough to do everything from creating a random quantized rhythmic sequence to generating a freeform string of notes to subtly shifting the timing of an existing sequenced track to give it a more human feel. Then if you needed random pitch plus random timing you could simply use the two plugins together.

Note on is possible if you make a device chain using random velocity devices. Explanation is a previous topic... http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=

I also made a request for an arpegiator rate randomizer. this would bring us a bit further too.

But length is a problem. So...

A Randomizer for Operator like in Reaktor 5 !!!
I think that Randoms are great to create some unexpected
sounds, specially with Operator. For someone who is producing electronic Music this kind of function should be integrated.
OPERATOR IS GREAT !!!

By the way,
I WISH a new filtertype for Autoflter with an excellent analogical sound (self-oscillating) like volcano or Frantic. Envelopes and LFO can remain. Important for me is only a new analogical filtertype. :D
