Yamaha 01x compatibility
hey dudes,
don't know if anyone else on here uses the O1x as their desk but it would be cool if Ableton did an upgrade for this desk specifically as it's a cool piece of kit with a very similar layout and features to the Mackie XT but slightly different. What d'you reckon?

Hi AdamJay and sorry for the delay. Yes, I used the 01x also as mixer, i.e. I could record via mLan and playback via monitor channels 17/18. At the same time the 01x worked as controller if one uses the remote button at the 01x. I got even the channel descriptions to my 01x. Hope that helps.AdamJay wrote: elefant, have you used the O1X as a digital audio mixer with Live?
or simply as an Mackie emulated controller?
I am a newbie regarding Live. Recording was possible but unfortunately I could not get the foot switches functioning properly. My hope was to find here somebody to tell me how this works. Without the foot switch for start and stop of recording it makes for me more sense to record with the help of cubase or anything similar. Does that help?noisemonkey wrote:sweet. Doest that make it easy to record in to Live through the desk? couldn't work it out last time I tried...elefant wrote:Hi noisemonkey, my 01x works properly with Live. Just go into the preferences, Midi/Sync and choose Mackie Control (not XT).
