i have played in a club wich use the Qplay machine ,i spoke to the manager of the place ,he told me that the thing is really reliable & the support is fantastic .
i guess these guys know what they are doing , they built machines for the professionnal trade not for the wannabes ,i have taken my laptop with me in a lot of places , sometimes i wished it was a bit more solid & that the on board soundcard had more in/out to leave the external card in the studio .
i play my last dj gigs in the next 2 weeks before giving up djing , but if it had come earlier i would probably have tryed to get hold of one & see what comes out of it .

Nothing you couldn't do yourself - well that's the point really: There's a definite market for this, since many can't be bothered to source touch-screens and suitcases. Just like that Mawzer midi controller: Nothing you can't build cheaper and faster(it's taken them how long?), yet ppl are still raving about it... Just goes to show that diy is dead.
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.

i broke a gator flight case at the airport , i can tell you that if i had something bulletproof to protect my gears i would probably be a bit less stressed about traveling .inis wrote:Despite what it says, i truly believe its just an average laptop in a flight case. Nothin you couldnt easily do yourself. Sure, you might not be able to run over your with a car, but then again, ive never had anything like that happen to me ever.
