Hi there,
What am I doing wrong,
I want to mix a set together with live using mp3 tracks from beatport.
Some tracks just won't mix together because I guess live does not put the marker on the place were a beat pics up. (as you would set your cue-point on a cdj)
When I drag the warp mark (1) to a beat starting point in a certain track, and want to mix another track in it, it's simply a crappy mix.
How can I solve this problem?
How can I change the starting points of an mp3 track so that live would actually mix in other tracks perfectly??
Thanks a lot !
Live 5 does not mix accuratly
First of all, a track has to play in sync to the metronome anywhere you click in it (at the start, anywhere in the middle and end) then, and only then, is it warped correctly and can you DJ with it.
Autowarp helps but needs some adjusting.

Once you get the hang of it most dance music with a well-defined beat can be warped in 1-5 minutes.

Thanks for the reply, I'm able to sync every track I want now, at least for the first minute, then everything starts to shift again.djsynchro wrote:First of all, a track has to play in sync to the metronome anywhere you click in it (at the start, anywhere in the middle and end) then, and only then, is it warped correctly and can you DJ with it.
I've read something about moving the markers in the middle and in the end of the track, but if I do that the original bpm warp-signature changes and that's just what can't happen.
Any idea how to solve this.
And yes maybe a stupid question, how do I save the track for later dj-ing once it has been warped propperly?
Thanks & greets,
Geoff

Hey Geoff, you are asking for very basic stuff here, have a read here and download some of the videos if you can, they are a great tutorial.djteth wrote:Thanks for the reply, I'm able to sync every track I want now, at least for the first minute, then everything starts to shift again.djsynchro wrote:First of all, a track has to play in sync to the metronome anywhere you click in it (at the start, anywhere in the middle and end) then, and only then, is it warped correctly and can you DJ with it.

If you say that you know the BPM of your track, from where do you have this information? If your track does drift after one minute or so you need to adjust a marker at the middle and to the end until your track stays in sync. This works just when you use straight produced music, otherwise you need more markers. Don´t care about the orig BPM value field and you can save the warpinfo by hitting the little save button to the left in the clipview.
