noob ques. regarding plug ins 4.1.2 vers.

Just got live light with EMU and can't access vst plugs at all. I'm getting error say stream engine could not be initialized, this is most likely caused by a driver version mistmatch issue. umm...What driver, and how do I figure what version I need? If an answer was posted somewhere in these hundreds of posts, I either missed it, or got too tired to find it....someone point me in the right direction or help a noob out.....thanx
