please give us an official advice
on the memory usage in live :
when my set take more than 1.5Go of memory (task manager)
i get a lot of problems ....like ..."low memory..."..'save .. and quit...'
if i stay under 1.4Go of allocated memory it's ok....
then what is the official position about that?(waiting for a 64 bit OS ?)
is it normal that live in the task manager has a NORMAL priority?
should be HIGH?
another thing is about the newest live versions...
i get random c++ runtime error ..after 5 to 30 minutes
live will show up this message even if i don't do anything in live(stoped cpu=20%..)totally random...
really don't know where it come's from...i don't use mp3 in my set
then it's not a codec problem(quicktime/directshow)
any one have this kind of problem?and any kind of solution for that are welcome...
thx bye

reach the system limits???memory usage & runtime error
Hi circuitb,
basically it is a system limitation that one process cannot have assigned more than 2GB RAM (including the virtual).
Do you have a very large set to get about a ram usage of 1,5GB or do you have the RAM switch enabled for many clips?
Furthermore if you still use Live 5.0.2 you should try Live 5.0.3 to because there we made some improvements concerning the memory usage.
