I just wanted to know if anybody else is experiencing the same problems as I do, notably the Korg Digital Edition M1 crashing Live the moment I try to launch it, This is absolutely repeatable. I have everything up to date, LIVE 5.03, latest Syncrosoft drivers (not using a Hub for the dongle), audiocard drivers etc.
It seems there are a few VSTi's which give LIVE a hard time. CPU usage is another concern here. A test project I set up and played with, which includes 1 instance of Stylus RMX (1.5c, 3 channels in use with 1 Delay as a send FX for 1 of the channels), 1 Evol VSTi, 1 Live Audio track (Bass guitar) and 2 MIDI tracks routed to an ext. synth + 2 Comp. (on the Bass and RMX) giving me around 55% CPU usage. I don't think that previous versions were so demanding on my PC. My system specs are as follows:
AMD XP 2200+|Gigabyte GA-7VRXP (KT333)|1GB RAM|RADEON 7000 VE/64MB-Dual Head|19"+17" CRT|4xHDD's each on its own IDE/ATA controller|
Samsung 308B CD-RW/DVD|LG GSA-4163B DVD Burner|WinXP Pro/SP1(Dual Boot-DAW+NET)|DELTA 1010LT|BCR2000|Reason 3.04|Live 5.0.3|
So if anybody is experiencing M1 crashes or has some tips on reducing CPU load, I'd appreciate any hints.
Regards
Raphael
