Check Clip Warp 'Complex' mode for CPU spiking problems

Post by meantown » Sat Jan 21, 2006 7:04 pm

If your having CPU spiking problems make sure and check that it's not because of the significant amount of CPU useage because of Complex mode in the Clip Warp mode chooser setting.
You can set in Live Preferences > Default what mode you want to automatically have your clips Warped at. In my case I've also turned off auto warp long samples. As I stream very large recording sessions at once.

As there is a lot of things to learn, maybe there should be a sticky about problems that should be understood concerning normal useage.

Good luck everybody.

yes and turn off PDC

PDC can cause a lot of cpu sometimes for me so I only really use it when it's really needed (i.e. mixing down, etc)
